Right, now the member of the month, once Wild Card has been opened a month and is up and running, is decided by various things. The first thing: Activity. A member must be active with the site, meaning they come on at least once or twice every other day to check posts and reply to the people they're posting with. Two: they're involved with what's going on with the site. That means anything out of character or in character. If there's a change going on, they're giving feedback on it, or if we've started a poll for opinions on something, they've voted and replied, etc., etc. Over all just being involved. Thirdly: They're kind and respectful to the other players in OOC, the one that can be viewed by everyone. That includes the Cbox, the game board, and anything in the OOC categories. They're also willing to help members or guests that have questions if the admins aren't online to do it themselves
"We can not simply be in the middle of nowhere because a closet must be in a house, or at least a building, of some sort. We obviously must be somewhere. If you could just manage to get us out of here, we would be able to find out just where in the hell we are." –Sweeney Todd

Like the man said, everyone must obviously be somewhere at some point in time, you can’t just be no where, it’s impossible.

Regardless of which continent you rested on, which country you called your home, you were somewhere.

Were, that is. I say ‘were’ because that would mean it was your previous place of residence. Obviously you’re not there now if you don’t recognize the old-fashioned Victorian furnishing, the high ceilings, fancy carpets and patterned wall papers. But just how you got here is completely unknown to you.

Really, nobody has any logical explanation. You were simply taken from your story, wherever you existed, and placed somewhere inside (or outside) the house. If you’re lucky, you landed near someone else in your same predicament, and if you’re luckier, you befriended them.

Some would call it the twist of fate, a wild card that’s thrown into a card game at the last minute to totally throw it off the course it had been taking, possibly in your favor.

Either way, you can’t leave. Don’t try, you won’t succeed. So you may as well get to know the other residents and have fun while you’re at it. They’re not that bad, and the house is beautiful (as well as its grounds), so why not just relax and put that old world behind you?

Step into the world of Wild Card. Humans from eras you didn’t know existed, talking animals, and one large and enchanted house.

JOHANNA BARKER

Piper blinked. That sounded a lot like what she'd gone through when she'd first gotten her freezing power. "We don't know anything. If our ancestors hadn't left us the Book fo Shadows, I don't know what would've happened to us." She paused. "How long have you been a witch?"

Now Peter was confused. A witch? "I'm not a witch. At least, I'm pretty sure I'm not. It's what Mohinder told me, to say the least. He called it evolution..." Peter blinked and looked curiously at her. If it was magic, then that French girl was at least half-sane... "But either way, all this started just a couple weeks ago. I kept having these dreams that I could fly. My brother didn't believe me, but I just knew it... So, I climbed up to the top of a building and called him. When he showed up, I jumped off. As it turned out, he was the one who could fly, not me. But when he flew up and grabbed me, I was able to mimic his power. For all I knew I had been doing it before and not realising, and that was how I got those dreams, but I don't know. Anyway, everything's more or less escalated from there into I don't even know what, but that's how it started." He sighed. He realized that the story made him sound just a bit crazy (after all, who jumps off a building just because they dreamed they could fly?) but really, he had just been looking to prove that he was somebody more than just a boring nurse.

"Only a few weeks?" Piper asked. "I've been doing this for over three years now. It gets easier. And harder, in a way. If I could go back to being normal, I'd do it in a heartbeat..." She sighed wistfully. That would be her only wish. Being normal would mean the Source wouldn't have sent Shax, and Pure wouldn't have died. If only...

Peter didn't understand why she'd want to be normal, but he decided not to say anything, since it looked like a tender subject. "Three years? That's a long time. I'm still just trying to focus on finishing the year out without New York exploding..." Oops. He hadn't meant to let that slip... But maybe she'd be able to offer advice on how to make it not explode?

Piper looked up in surprise. "Do you know for sure that New York is going to explode? Surely the Elder's would've..." She paused, remembering the time difference between the two. "Or maybe the wouldn't, because it isn't going to happen for years yet." She scowled. Time travel just gave her a headache. It really did.

Peter frowned. "I know a guy, Isaac, who can paint the future. He painted this big mural on the floor of his loft of New York exploding. Crazy as it sounds, he's been right before..." Peter remembered when Isaac had painted him dead outside Claire's high school. That had come true too, but it hadn't lasted very long... He hoped she wouldn't think he was insane.

Piper nodded. "I can understand, I guess." It was almost like with Phoebe's premonitions. "You can change the outcome, you know. The future isn't set in stone. I've been to a future where the whole country was on a witch hunt. My sister Phoebe was about to be burned at the stake, and Prue..." Her breath caught. She looked down, suddenly finding her shoes to be very fascinating. She'd almost said "and Prue had been alive," which she knew wouldn't happen.

Peter smiled. So she knew about the future and how it worked too. She seemed to know practically everything about all the things that didn't make sense. That was reassuring. He couldn't help but wonder... "Forgive me for asking, but who are Prue and Pheobe?"

"Phoebe is my little sister, and Prue... was my older sister," Piper answered, biting her lip. Her gaze followed the carpet design. She didn't dare look up for fear of bawling in front of this almost-stranger-- once was enough, thank you.
