Wild Card - directed by Eliza
Right, now the member of the month, once Wild Card has been opened a month and is up and running, is decided by various things. The first thing: Activity. A member must be active with the site, meaning they come on at least once or twice every other day to check posts and reply to the people they're posting with. Two: they're involved with what's going on with the site. That means anything out of character or in character. If there's a change going on, they're giving feedback on it, or if we've started a poll for opinions on something, they've voted and replied, etc., etc. Over all just being involved. Thirdly: They're kind and respectful to the other players in OOC, the one that can be viewed by everyone. That includes the Cbox, the game board, and anything in the OOC categories. They're also willing to help members or guests that have questions if the admins aren't online to do it themselves
"We can not simply be in the middle of nowhere because a closet must be in a house, or at least a building, of some sort. We obviously must be somewhere. If you could just manage to get us out of here, we would be able to find out just where in the hell we are." –Sweeney Todd
Like the man said, everyone must obviously be somewhere at some point in time, you can’t just be no where, it’s impossible.
Regardless of which continent you rested on, which country you called your home, you were somewhere.
Were, that is. I say ‘were’ because that would mean it was your previous place of residence. Obviously you’re not there now if you don’t recognize the old-fashioned Victorian furnishing, the high ceilings, fancy carpets and patterned wall papers. But just how you got here is completely unknown to you.
Really, nobody has any logical explanation. You were simply taken from your story, wherever you existed, and placed somewhere inside (or outside) the house. If you’re lucky, you landed near someone else in your same predicament, and if you’re luckier, you befriended them.
Some would call it the twist of fate, a wild card that’s thrown into a card game at the last minute to totally throw it off the course it had been taking, possibly in your favor.
Either way, you can’t leave. Don’t try, you won’t succeed. So you may as well get to know the other residents and have fun while you’re at it. They’re not that bad, and the house is beautiful (as well as its grounds), so why not just relax and put that old world behind you?
Step into the world of Wild Card. Humans from eras you didn’t know existed, talking animals, and one large and enchanted house.

"Yes, this place is massive, much more so than my grandfather's ever was. Terrifying thought, that is. At least his place wasn't all magic and stuff. Sighing heavily, he nodded. "Yes, this has to be the laundry room. I've seen one like this before."
He was still unsure of what to say. "I...for once, am so unsure of what to say. Does that make me a bad person?"

She just shook her head innocently.
"No, it doesn' make you a bad person," she responded. "You're doin' a better job of keepin' up the conversation than I am." Well, that certainly was the truth. She wasn't a bad conversationalist frankly, it was just that the circumstances of this conversation were so ridiculous that it made her a bad conversationalist.
"So those things over there," she pointed to the washing machines. "Those wash clothes for you, right? That's all I've gathered from lookin' at them. I've never seen anythin' like 'em before."

"Yes, this is an old washing machine. My grandfather had one of these in his house. Well, it was like it. No. It's exactly like it and frankly, it disturbs me to no end, not knowing why it does," he snapped finally, not at all directing it towards Nancy. "It's too annoying here. Everyone seems to be on their own cloud and me? I'm left behind," he said with an irate tone behind his statement.
Sitting down on the table, Edward began to shuffle his feet in between the location where he sat and the ground. Looking to Nancy shortly, he sighed. "So. . .what are we to do around her for kicks? It seems to me it's duller than a paring knife gone bad," he quipped.

She frowned at the machines, wanting to know how they made the noise they did and even ran. But, for now, she'd just assume on coal or something- like the steam engine. Nancy wasn't even sure she really wanted to know how they worked. It might just have been too much for the poor girl to handle.
"I 'ave no idea wot to do around 'ere for fun," she said plainly. "I'm still tryin' to find my way around 'ere. I don' think I'll ever learn my way around." Hopefully she wouldn't have to. "But... there's always somethin' to eat 'ere. An' drink." Drinking was fun. Oh, yes, it was.
