Right, now the member of the month, once Wild Card has been opened a month and is up and running, is decided by various things. The first thing: Activity. A member must be active with the site, meaning they come on at least once or twice every other day to check posts and reply to the people they're posting with. Two: they're involved with what's going on with the site. That means anything out of character or in character. If there's a change going on, they're giving feedback on it, or if we've started a poll for opinions on something, they've voted and replied, etc., etc. Over all just being involved. Thirdly: They're kind and respectful to the other players in OOC, the one that can be viewed by everyone. That includes the Cbox, the game board, and anything in the OOC categories. They're also willing to help members or guests that have questions if the admins aren't online to do it themselves
"We can not simply be in the middle of nowhere because a closet must be in a house, or at least a building, of some sort. We obviously must be somewhere. If you could just manage to get us out of here, we would be able to find out just where in the hell we are." –Sweeney Todd

Like the man said, everyone must obviously be somewhere at some point in time, you can’t just be no where, it’s impossible.

Regardless of which continent you rested on, which country you called your home, you were somewhere.

Were, that is. I say ‘were’ because that would mean it was your previous place of residence. Obviously you’re not there now if you don’t recognize the old-fashioned Victorian furnishing, the high ceilings, fancy carpets and patterned wall papers. But just how you got here is completely unknown to you.

Really, nobody has any logical explanation. You were simply taken from your story, wherever you existed, and placed somewhere inside (or outside) the house. If you’re lucky, you landed near someone else in your same predicament, and if you’re luckier, you befriended them.

Some would call it the twist of fate, a wild card that’s thrown into a card game at the last minute to totally throw it off the course it had been taking, possibly in your favor.

Either way, you can’t leave. Don’t try, you won’t succeed. So you may as well get to know the other residents and have fun while you’re at it. They’re not that bad, and the house is beautiful (as well as its grounds), so why not just relax and put that old world behind you?

Step into the world of Wild Card. Humans from eras you didn’t know existed, talking animals, and one large and enchanted house.

Fantine finally cleared away the mess on the floor and stopped cleaning. She stayed where she was for a while, concious that everyones eyes were on her. This patch of floor was probably the cleanest in the room, who on earth looked after this place?!

She shifted round slightly and started work on the next section of floor. This was not her job nor her place but it gave her an excuse to avoid the cold eyes of Nessarose and the confused eyes of Elphaba, who was now sitting on a chair.

At Elphaba's grunt, Fantine sat up quickly and jerked her head round to look at Elphaba. She didn't look happy.

Nessa heard the grunt as well, and turned to look down at Elphaba. She hadn't seen the Witch of the West this frustrated in ages. Then again, she hadn't seen her at all in ages, so it wasn't really saying much. It was Fantine's fault. If she hadn't dropped that tea in the first place the two sisters would be able to catch up in an amicable manner, and nothing would have gone wrong...at least it wouldn't have in Nessa's mind.

"Elphaba, what's wrong now?" She demanded, unaware of exactly how much of a whiny brat she sounded as she rolled up to her sister and frowned. "I apologized like you told me to, didn't I? If you really wanted a cup of tea you could have mentioned it earlier, you know..."

Elphaba's eyes shifted from the floor to Nessarose. She blinked once. "Everything, Nessa?" she asked, almost matter-of-factly, using her old technique: sarcasm. Then, she tipped it off with a smirk.

And it was true. Everything was wrong. Had gone wrong. Every aspect of her life. But was she going to come right out to Nessa and tell her, using tears and heart-warming emotions to fill pure agony into the horrible story that is Elphaba's pathetic life? Haha. No.

"Well I am terribly sorry to hear that," Nessa quipped back. "My week hasn't been going at all well either, considering I've randomly been dumped into this mansion and haven't run into anybody friendly since." She rolled up to the table and slumped down onto her elbows, running a finger through several strands of hair that had fallen loose from her bun. She sighed and drummed her fingers on the table. That tea was taking far too long for her liking. Had she been back home in Munchkinland, it would have been fully prepared a half an hour ago, with two lumps of sugar and a slice of lemon, just the way she liked it.

"I really missed you too, Faba." Nessa half-mumbled almost to herself as an afterthought as she intently studied the swirls of the wood grain on Mrs. Lovett's flour-dusted table.
