Right, now the member of the month, once Wild Card has been opened a month and is up and running, is decided by various things. The first thing: Activity. A member must be active with the site, meaning they come on at least once or twice every other day to check posts and reply to the people they're posting with. Two: they're involved with what's going on with the site. That means anything out of character or in character. If there's a change going on, they're giving feedback on it, or if we've started a poll for opinions on something, they've voted and replied, etc., etc. Over all just being involved. Thirdly: They're kind and respectful to the other players in OOC, the one that can be viewed by everyone. That includes the Cbox, the game board, and anything in the OOC categories. They're also willing to help members or guests that have questions if the admins aren't online to do it themselves
"We can not simply be in the middle of nowhere because a closet must be in a house, or at least a building, of some sort. We obviously must be somewhere. If you could just manage to get us out of here, we would be able to find out just where in the hell we are." –Sweeney Todd

Like the man said, everyone must obviously be somewhere at some point in time, you can’t just be no where, it’s impossible.

Regardless of which continent you rested on, which country you called your home, you were somewhere.

Were, that is. I say ‘were’ because that would mean it was your previous place of residence. Obviously you’re not there now if you don’t recognize the old-fashioned Victorian furnishing, the high ceilings, fancy carpets and patterned wall papers. But just how you got here is completely unknown to you.

Really, nobody has any logical explanation. You were simply taken from your story, wherever you existed, and placed somewhere inside (or outside) the house. If you’re lucky, you landed near someone else in your same predicament, and if you’re luckier, you befriended them.

Some would call it the twist of fate, a wild card that’s thrown into a card game at the last minute to totally throw it off the course it had been taking, possibly in your favor.

Either way, you can’t leave. Don’t try, you won’t succeed. So you may as well get to know the other residents and have fun while you’re at it. They’re not that bad, and the house is beautiful (as well as its grounds), so why not just relax and put that old world behind you?

Step into the world of Wild Card. Humans from eras you didn’t know existed, talking animals, and one large and enchanted house.

Right, this is something that we wanted to explain a bit. If your character has any questions, there's a way that you can have them answered.

There are three characters that you can go to for sure for anything your character needs answered about the house. They've, technically, been here the longest and know the most about the house so far...

Sweeney Todd - Reasoning.
He does know quite a lot about the house, actually, and he's very intelligent so he could answer a question for you even if it didn't deal with the house. If you need help with figuring out the house (ie: why the bathrooms are different every time you go to the same one) I'd suggest coming to him, he would probably know the most about that because regardless of whether or not he and the others want to believe it, logic doesn't seem to exist here and he's one of the only ones that accepts that. He'll be rather blunt and to the point, possibly even sound a bit irritated but don't let that get to you, he's like that to everyone. He's grown to loathe society in general (you can't blame him, really), and though his patience is rather lengthy, it can snap very easily if you pull the right strings. I wouldn't do that unless you were Lovett (hell, she does it for fun) or had a deathwish of some sort. Sweeney Todd doesn't hesitate in becoming violent, it's a natural reaction for him. So if you find yourself pinned against a wall with his hand around your throat, closing your windpipes, don't be surprised. It'd be a good idea to have someone else with you. And you'd better have a damn good, legitimate reason for coming to find him - he'll make that clear to you. He's a busy man, and he doesn't like being bothered for petty questions concerning when your next meal will be brought about. He'd tell you to go find Lovett and ask for a pie.
But be careful, if he's sleeping, make sure you have Lovett with you when you go to ask him or you may find yourself in being prepared to be put into a pie. He's a bit cranky if he's woken from his afternoon naps...

Yeah it'd be a good idea to have Lovett with you.

Mrs. Nellie Lovett - Navigation.
Always cheery and bright, Lovett is the perfect person to approach at any time if you have a question, even better if you're hungry at the same time. Not only will she answer your question, but she'll give you a free meat pie. If you don't like those she'll probably make you something else as long as she can be of service to somebody. She always has to be busy. Mrs. Lovett is the right person to come to if you have a navigation problem. She's explored the house many times in her free time (when she's not making pies or being harassed by Sweeney Todd... or harassing Sweeney Todd) and knows where just about everything is. And if she doesn't, then by god she won't quit looking until she ends up finding it. It's a big manor, but it's not as big as London and this place has walls, so it's impossible to cross the city line. You'll probably find her in the kitchen, the parlor (at the piano), or upstairs in her bedroom she shares with Sweeney (she needs a nap, too, sometimes!). If you can't find her, go look for Sweeney Todd, Charlie Barkin (he's usually following her around somewhere and if he isn't he knows where she is), Tobias Ragg, or Count Dracula. They're the closest residents to her so far, so they'd know where she'd be.
Be careful, though, Lovett is usually rather busy and doesn't always like having people follow her around and ask her questions. She may get a bit irritated, but that's doubtful. The bad thing about Mrs. Lovett is that if you catch her when she's busy, she'll more than likely get distracted and, just possibly, give you wrong directions so you could get lost. Watch out for that, though it's only when she's busy, remember.
REMEMBER, MRS. LOVETT ONLY KNOWS WHERE THE ROOMS ARE.

Charlie Barkin - Residents.
One of the smartest animals in the house, Charlie Barkin is the dog you'll want to find if you need any information whatsoever on the occupants of the house. And if you want a good laugh (depending on your sense of humor), he's even better. Just like Lovett's bonus of her pies, Charlie's would be the humor you get a long with it. He's a dog, so he gets around the grounds really fast, and considering he's one of the residents that's been here the longest, he's met everyone at least once (unless you're Lovett, then he's invading your privacy almost 24/7) and knows quite a lot about all of the residents. He's quick and rather sneaky if he has to be (he has ways, trust me) but isn't exactly Honest Abe, by any means. He's a friendly critter, for sure, but that doesn't mean he likes everyone, and he probably won't shove it in your face if he doesn't like you either - you'd have to just pick it up with his behavior unless he does a very good job of covering it up so it's undetected (he's good at that, trust me). There are two reasons to keep on Charlie Barkin's good side...
I. If you're the person that a resident is ASKING HIM ABOUT, meaning you are being asked about, he'll give good information about you. If you're not on his good side, he'll more than likely start a rumor about you. Knowing him, it could be a perverted rumor, too, so watch out...
II. If you are the person that is ASKING HIM ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE then it's likely he won't give you the proper information as to where they are if he doesn't like you. If he does, you'll get it right away. If he doesn't, he'll more than likely send you somewhere you don't want to be, so watch out.
REMEMBER, CHARLIE BARKIN ONLY KNOWS WHERE THE PEOPLE ARE. HE CANNOT GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS TO ROOMS!

Count Dracula — Navigator of the Grounds
So, you’re a little bit apprehensive in traveling around the grounds of the Manor, eh? Well, you already have had three others who can help you inside, but now. . .who turn to? Who to turn? Ah, there is one you can talk to. The Prince, or Count Dracula. Sure, he looks rougher on the outside, but if you only knew the inside. . .ANYWAY! This gentleman knows exactly how to get around outside, however, IF you need a walk through it personally during the day, you may not have a chance at all. Dracula’s skin condition keeps him from doing it. At night, he’ll gladly do it, otherwise, you’ll likely have to ask him around and then that’ll have to be. IF the Count is in a sour mood or just in one of those moods he can be in (he blames it on Strangelove), it is very well advised that you don’t approach him. BAD idea. VERY bad idea. You were warned.
